NCSU Weather

NCSU Weather is the broadcast meteorology club within NC State’s meteorology program. Students interested in broadcast meteorology are given the opportunity to record weekly video forecasts using a Chroma key ("green screen") and promote their forecasts using various social media platforms. Students also learn how to make weather graphics and communicate complicated science information and forecasts in a way that can be understood by the general public.

Effectively communicating weather information is both a challenge and an increasingly important skill for meteorologists, whether or not broadcast is your final career goal. If you are interested in broadcast meteorology or simply interested in improving your weather communication skills, please contact us!

We are also visiting school groups so if your classroom is interested in learning about weather, please reach out to us!!!
NCSU Weather will be resuming for the Spring 2020 Semester on Monday, February 3rd. Tune into Facebook and YouTube at 9pm! :)
